Jouvay Ventures, L.L.C, a majority owned Guyanese Caribbean Promotional company with the site Jouvay.com. We have constructed this page on our website to act as a source of information on flood events taking place in Guyana and hope that it helps to get people mobilized throughout the world, especially the expatriate Caribbean community, to assist in whatever way they could.

Dr. Maya Trotz (has been actively involved as a webmistress for other internet based campaigns: waveguyana.org , phiva.net ) and has been in contact with her mother and many others at home in Guyana and in the U.S. to determine the most efficient way for people connected through the internet to best show support and lend a hand. We immediately launched an online fundraising campaign on Saturday January 22nd and after four days of analysis of the flood relief mobilization efforts around the world we have selected the Alicea Foundation.

We have worked with members of the Alicea Foundation before on the WAVE campaign where we collected signatures from many Caribbean recording artists to add onto the Women Against Violence plea in Guyana. What started as a small site responding to the need for a centralized internet home for these relief efforts has grown into one that has caught the attention of many. We are most grateful for the rapid redesign and reorganization of this site by the afiwi.com family and inasite multimedia team.

We are not a non-profit organization so persons will not be able to claim a tax free exemption. The system is established so that you receive a receipt immediately and we update our website to reflect your payment. We hope that this level of transparency gives you confidence in our sincerity.
